Earth Day: Fish or plastic – What’s your lunch made of?

“As you bite down into a delicious piece of fish, you probably don’t think about what the fish itself ate — but perhaps you should. More than 50 species of fish have been found to consume plastic trash at sea,” this means when you eat fish you are eating plastic… according to an article in Washington Post. Please join us in the discussion about ocean plastics, plastic recycling and waste management. Our experts and Consulate officers will discuss plastic pollution, its adverse impacts on the environment, and highlight initiatives by students and businesses in smart plastic use and recycling. You will also learn how to register for the Consulate Earth Day activities on April 22. Bring your friends and questions!

* Note: This event is for people who are 13 years old and above, please bring your student ID.
